Abstract: This research investigates the car ownership of young households in the central Puget Sound region and compares the car ownership of Millennial households with that of young households composed of previous generations at the same age using data from the 1989-2014 household travel surveys conducted by the Puget Sound Regional Council. This study uses descriptive analysis to profile trends and linear regression model to identify and prioritize the factors that associate with the decreased car ownership of Millennial households.
