Abstract
From Merriam and Gosnell (1924) to current day, there has been extensive literature produced on the relationship between educational attainment and voter turnout in the United States and Europe. However, there is not much literature discussing the relationship in East Asia. I test the association of educational attainment and voter turnout in Taiwan and China at a comparative level to see if the results agree with our current understanding of how these variables relate.
