Presented at the February 10, 2016 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Library Faculty Meeting, this is an overview of the evaluation and resulting recommendation for a digital content management and access system that would be a suitable replacement for or extension of the Library’s current CONTENTdm instance and which could support the same types of content and also collections significantly larger than 50,000 items. It also gives a high level overview of the the Library's repository architecture and a preview of some of the services currently in Beta, with a deep dive into the feature set of the Library's new image server, which implements the IIIF interoperability standard for images.
