Abstract
Sight of a rusty old milk strainer at an antique store brought back memories of my early childhood. It reminded me of when I was a kid and had to wash such a milk strainer and of the conditions under which we lived in those 1930s Depression years. From those bleak beginnings, my life situation has progressed through careers and life-styles that were unfathomable back then. This account traces the “journey” I have made.
