Abstract
The study found that Asian Americans, compared with their European American counterparts, do seem to have lower levels of LMX with their European American supervisors. Some personal characteristics however can interact with racioethnicity and help Asian Americans to enhance their level of LMX. Particularly, when Asian Americans are high self-monitoring, or highly allocentric, they might be able to turn the tables and enjoy higher levels of LMX with their European American supervisors. The study also found a positive relationship between LMX and career satisfaction.
