Abstract
An analysis of existing OAI/PMH metadata conformance to the DLF/Aquifer Implementation Guidelines for Shareable MODS Records. Results of this analysis are used to predict both the nature and extent of future normalization processes required by OAI service providers and the nature and extent of training and education required by OAI data providers hoping to expose MODS records that are useful in a variety of contexts.
