Abstract
This differential mAb recognition of O-Ag had a direct correlation with the differential level of protection mediated by individual mAbs in mice challenged with virulent S. typhimurium. Therefore, a subtle modification of O-Ag such as acetylation has a profound effect on the host immune response.
