Abstract
Librarians and information specialists have a crucial role to play in supporting
interdisciplinary studies, a form of research and teaching where each discipline
continues to be separate and distinct in its approach to a subject, but where the findings
of each discipline are integrated so that creative and practical solutions are found to
solve a problem.
