Abstract
"My central argument is that the work of these poets---particularly that of Esther Tapia de Castellanos, Isabel Prieto de Landazurri, Maria Enriqueta Camarillo de Pereyra, and Laura Mendez de Cuenca---deserves to be considered ""memorable material,"" because of the gynopoetic characteristics they exhibit. Working from a biocentric perspective, within the framework of gynocritics, I have concluded that, due to the courage, daring, and independence of thought of their authorism, the works of Tapia, Prieto, Landazurri, and Mendez deserve to be recovered and read. Theoretically drawing on both the synchronic and the diachronic, this thesis aims to play a pioneering role in the recovery of the history of women's poetry in Mexico."
