Abstract
The final objective was to adapt a recently developed cytogenetic technique for use in anurans. The primed in situ labeling (PRINS) technique was applied to localize a specific developmentally important DNA sequence in anuran chromosomes. This technique has the potential to be an important tool in assessing developmental nuclear changes in metamorphing anurans.
