Abstract
Improved preparations are given for several first-row transition metal trifluoromethanesulfonate (OTf) and p-toluenesulfonate (OTs) salts: M(OTf)x, where M = VII, VIII, CrII, MnII, CoII, NiII , and Cs, and [M(OH2)n][OTs]x, where M = TiIII, VIII, VIVO, Cr II, CrIII, MnII, FeII, CoII, NiII, and Cs. Also described are preparations of the cyanide building blocks K4[V(CN)6]·xH 2O, [NEt4]4[V(CN)6], K3[Cr(CN) 6]·xH2O, [NEt4]3[Cr(CN) 6]·xH2O, [NEt4]3[Ti(CN) 6]·2.5H2O, [PPN]3[Cr(CN)6], [PPN]3[Fe(CN)6], [NEt4]3[Co(CN) 6]·H2O, [PPN]3[Cr(CN)5NO], [NEt 4]CN, and [PPN]CN.
