Abstract
Pd/PVP catalyzed H-D exchange in substituted pyridines and other nitrogen containing heterocyclic compounds was followed using 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Substitution at the position alpha to the endocyclic nitrogen was favored for the majority of compounds studied.
