Abstract
Finally, ruthenium sulfide phosphine nitrosyl clusters resulting from the reaction of RuCl3(NO)(P(aryl)3)2 and S(TMS)2 were investigated. The distorted heterocubane Ru4 S4(NO)4(PPh3)3 was crystallographically characterized and a related cluster with formula Ru4S3(NO) 4(PPh3)3, possibly corresponding to a partial heterocubane structure, was identified using MALDI-MS and IR spectroscopy.
