Abstract
Finally, we examine the effect on cell interaction due to varying simulation parameters, and we use this information to define methods that may help to increase cell survival rates. It is interesting to note that many of the methods used in standard cryopreservation protocols increase both the chemical protection of the cell and prevent severe volume change in the cell by increasing the probability that cells will be engulfed by the ice.
