Abstract
Overall, plasticization of zein with oleic and linoleic acids resulted in thermoplastic and moldable resins potentially useful for manufacturing flexible packaging materials. Methods of plasticizer incorporation influenced effectiveness of plasticization. Stabilizing and enhancing of plasticizer-zein complexes are crucial to accomplish plasticization.
