Abstract
The production of the novel zein-based packaging materials should be carried out close to ethanol production plant where we could get low cost extracted zein as a main raw material. Approximate economic evaluation of plant design for the production of zein-based packaging materials was proposed in which zein cost was the factor that most affected profitability of the plant design.
