Abstract
Human epithelial endometrial cells secreted a full-length functional form of EMMPRIN that stimulated stromal expression of MMP-1,-2 and -3 but not EMMPRIN. We also found that endogenous stromal cell expression of EMMPRIN was important but not required for MMP stimulation.
