Abstract
The probabilistic performance curves are developed in terms of both maximum story drift ratio and building damage index for each of the six selected buildings, with uncertainties in both demand and capacity accounted for The adequacy of existing buildings and current design is examined in terms of building damage and the corresponding probability. The design recommendations are made to improve the performance and reduce the potential damage of woodframe buildings under seismic loads.
