Abstract
In this work, we identify a new class of networks called dynamic networks. Dynamic networks are networks consisting of highly resource constrained hosts that talk to each other primarily using wireless connectivity, and are mobile. Such networks can potentially lack the services of an established backbone infrastructure. We believe that such networks will become a norm in the future Internet and the contribution of this work is in the context of these networks. We argue for a substantial rethinking of the communication and service infrastructures currently serving the Internet. We then propose novel communication and service infrastructures along with the necessary algorithms for the future Internet characterized as a dynamic network environment.
