Abstract
In order to better understand the performance of PDES algorithms, a PDES software tool, DSSim, was developed. We describe how a modeler can create SAN models of discrete event systems, partition and map a model to a target architecture, simulate using a number of PDES algorithms, and obtain performance data for the PDES algorithms used.
