Abstract
As it is preferable to discuss data processing equipment in general, using UNIVAC equipment as typical examples of the tools that are presently available; this paper will be concerned with four main topics: I. THE TOOLS OF THE TRADE II. POTENTIAL AREAS OF APPLICATION HI. MATCHING THE TOOLS TO THE JOB IV. RECENT TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS. It is hoped that the following comparisons will prove helpful to librarians.
