Abstract
The findings have both theoretical and practical considerations for health-care workers and administrators, HRD professionals in both training delivery and management positions, and for researchers and instructors in HRD academic programs. The most significant implications suggest that work-related variables such as organizational commitment can be considered as a potential outcome of training and development activities. Furthermore, the perceived access to training opportunities provides are more useful measure than hours spent in training supporting the recommendation that future research be conducted in this area.
