Abstract
This inquiry focused on the discipline moiety of classroom management and examined the disciplinary practices of three innercity elementary schools via focused group interviews and disciplinary referrals procured at each building site. This study also attempted to contribute to a new perspective on disciplinary practices and raise the consciousness of school staff so that they may more effectively meet student needs.
