Abstract
There are four specific recommendations that this researcher believes should be in place to help reduce the number of students placed at risk for school failure from falling further behind: first, the alternative and regular schools must have flexibility within the curriculum and overall programming; secondly, more emphasis should be placed on students being mainstreamed back into their home schools; thirdly, more structural programming centered around holistic education must be enacted at both educational environments; and lastly, teaching students inner discipline to help them self-correct their conduct by learning how to stop, think, and then respond to circumstances.
