Abstract
The purpose of this qualitative descriptive exploratory study was to examine the lived experiences of police officers to determine how they themselves perceive the formation of prejudice among officers and if they believe that their experiences on the job have changed the way they view minorities. Twenty police officers were interviewed in-depth, in-person interviews using an interview guide. The data is presented in qualitatively along with quantitative descriptive statistics for numeric value.
