Abstract
Respondents reported a willingness to participate in training related to SSI and indicated that both parents and students need additional training on SSI issues. Respondents also provided suggestions the appropriate role of teachers and schools in assisting with SSI issues and expressed concerns about fraud and abuse, the complexities of the system, and the detrimental effects of SSI participation. Implications for future research, policy, and practice are discussed.
