Abstract
Best practices abstract text and poster image.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Library has shared 5.5 million bibliographic catalog records. As released these include detailed information about physical holdings at Illinois, allowing consumers to know exactly which volumes or parts of the creative work described are available at UIUC. UIUC catalog records are (or soon will be) available as MARCXML, as MODS enriched with links to name and subject authorities, and as RDF (using schema.org semantics). This poster reports on the development of workflows for this project, on the multiple views of the catalog being made available, and on the lessons learned to date.
