Abstract
This thesis investigates the nature and scope of the current techniques applied to manage the
seams issues across two or more specific interconnected ISOs/RTOs: MISO, PJM, ISO-NE, and
NYISO.
We assess the techniques both in terms of their abilities and limitations and also discuss the
challenges that need to be overcome in the respective areas.
