Abstract

This policy analysis is about the aspects of social welfare over U.S. history that have shaped current child welfare and aid for needy families. In this analysis I will introduce the problem about social welfare specifically child welfare (protective services) and I will also give solutions to the problem. In this paper other aid programs for needy families (e.g., TANF) will also be introduced due to the fact that the child welfare services have the same problems within those programs as well. In this policy analysis I will propose solutions, state consequences, and explain some controversial aspects about the policy. The paper will display social welfare and the background of the policy itself.
