- Abstract
- Discipline of architecture has always been trying to solve the complex problem of a perfect inhabitant space. Science and technology has played a very imperative role in shaping today's system of building design and developing the visions of modern-day architecture. The attempt for a unique and innovative approach to find the best solution for a given design problem is crucial in the contemporary design world. My recent visit to Peru helped me to expand my understanding of architectural design. Peru has a distinctive old cathedral and monumental architecture, but the most remarkable thing that marked the characteristic individuality of Peruvian architecture was the use of stunning blue antique doors especially in the city of Cusco. My whole trip became a mission in search for the perfect blue door. During my quest I realized that every blue door has its own individuality and appeal regarding the neighboring environment. Not just the color and styles of these doors were inspiring, but also the anticipation of the mystery lay beyond was very exciting. It turns out to be the key to understand the elementary issue of absolute solution in architecture. Creating a perfect architectural design is similar as finding a perfect blue door.
