Abstract

Although many publications and policies have been written about sexual harassment in higher education, there is still an air of silence concerning women faculty. A literature search of sexual harassment in higher education generally yields information concerning sexual harassment of students. There is much less information concerning the sexual harassment of women faculty by students or other faculty. Although many publications and policies have been written about sexual harassment in higher education, there is still an air of silence concerning women faculty. This research is significant because there is a lack of available literature concerning women faculty being subjected to sexual harassment. Sexual harassment in the workplace is a complex phenomenon that is not well understood. Organizations continue to struggle to understand the phenomenon that is sexual harassment and to effectively address and eliminate it. My research examines this issue in this higher education context and exposes the Untold. My image represents the woman in the academy who has the Untold story.
