Gaseous $^{238}$UO was prepared in a high temperature furnace, and rotational spectra were measured in the 500--550 GHz and 590--650 GHz ranges. Transitions with $J$ from 24 to 32 were observed in the $\Omega=4$ ground state and low lying vibronic states with $\Omega=3$ to $\Omega=5$. Spectra were modeled using Dunham theory for diatomic molecules.
