Abstract

We report emission spectra of scandium monoiodide (resolution of 0.7 $\AA$) generated by the photodissociation of of ScI$_3$ at 248 nm. Emission from a bound-free transition of ScI near 900 nm was recorded, as were bound-bound transitions in the range of 400 nm to 800 nm. Comparison of experimental investigation and simulations of both bound-bound vibrational progressions and bound-free emission will be presented as well.
