Abstract
Our intent in this workshop is to contrast typical approaches for making and using ebooks with a different tack taken with a collaboratively authored textbook that has been adopted by numerous ISchools. We can use this case study to motivate an agenda for research and development in the ISchools that would facilitate the creation and adoption of other ebooks guided by best practices in the selection, organization, and presentation of information in ebook formats.
