Abstract
This thesis consists of three chapters. In Chapter 1, two sharp inequalities are proved and their extensions to differentially subordinate martingales.
In Chapter 2, the optimal value of a martingale transform inequality is given implicitly.
In Chapter 3, properties of biconcave functions and the interplay with zigzag martingales are discussed.
