Abstract
Memories of natural sights and sounds, so much of my early childhood, that no longer exist. Changes in agricultural practices have altered the landscape such that habitat for species so abundant in the 1930s are now rare. Today's kids no longer experience being a part of nature as did those of us growing up in those years.
