Abstract
This paper investigates the current trends in local planning practices which are impacted by the specific local conditions and by the overall tendencies in European planning. By focusing on Berlin as a case study this work aims to give a better understanding of the present situation in place bearing strong implications for urban regeneration efforts in Western and Central-Eastern Europe.
