Abstract
This report details a market analysis of the restaurant, specialty foods and grocery, and bar and alcohol service sectors in the local Urban and Champaign urban core. The goal of the study was to determine the competitive position of the downtowns relative in each of the identified potential niches. By assessing levels of unmet demand or market saturation in each retail sector, the report strives to answer the question of whether or not their expansion might be advisable.
