Abstract
Workforce participation has an important influence on poverty levels, crime rates, and the physical and social environments. Many communities face barriers to workforce participation, some more than others. The goal of this plan is to increase education levels and workforce participation in Southern Peoria. The key objectives are to: develop opportunities provided by various education and workforce facilitators; enhance the core services outlined by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998; and supplement service delivery. This plan's primary objective is to offer some direction to the planning process.
