Abstract
Bloomington and Normal are adjoining cities forming an urban area that serves as an agricultural, commercial, and industrial center for a portion of central Illinois. The rich agricultural area surrounding Bloomington-Normal lies in the Bloomlngton Ridged Plain physiographic region which is an extremely flat glacial plain marked by a few recessional moraines. The surrounding topography has no effect on the climate.
