Abstract

The documents reports on the survey results which investigated the range, volume and condition of New York’s collections; risks to collections; existing resources to care for them; needs of the staff who manage collections; conservation and preservation challenges; and current access to education and education needs. Information gathered from this survey informed the development of the statewide plan and provides essential evidence to drive action, legislation and advocacy for preservation in New York.
