Abstract
Jeff Gordon from the Building Research Council (BRC) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Robert Nemeth of Magna Systems, Inc. conducted a site visit to the Native Village ofKwinhagak on March 30,2004. David Vought of the HUD Alaska Office of Native American Programs, Ford Kuramoto from Magna Systems, and John Davies from the Cold Climate Housing Research Center, also participated in the site visit. The purpose of the site visit was to provide technical assistance to the Native Village of K winhagak in assessing mold and moisture conditions in housing units and to meet with various other groups to discuss mold and moisture issues. This summarizes the site visit. A detailed analysis of the findings and recommendations is found in the attached report, entitled: Native Village of Kwinhagak Technical Housing Assessment Report: Examining Mold and Moisture Conditions in Kwinhagak Housing.
