Abstract
Anthony Corso from the Building Research Council (BRC) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Robert Nemeth from Magna Systems, Inc. conducted a site visit at the Spirit Lake Reservation on May 20-21, 2003. The purpose of the site visit was to provide technical assistance to the Spirit Lake Housing Corporation (SLHC) in assessing mold and moisture condition in housing units. The SLHC administers the housing programs for the Spirit Lake Tribe. This report summarizes activities and issues addressed while on site. A detailed analysis of findings and recommendations is found in PART II: Technical Housing Assessment Report: Examining Mold and Moisture Conditions of Homes on the Spirit Lake Reservation.
