- Abstract
- "The four houses shown in this circular demonstrate planning principles for homes which are to be heated by coal or coke. Information regarding working drawings for these houses may be secured from the Small Homes Council which arranged the Residential Planning Project. Construction details for fuel bins and ashremoval devices, together with recommended heater-room arrangements, are presented in another circular, ""A Solid-Fuel Handbook for Architects and Builders,"" (to be published). For the purposes of these circulars, the term ""solid fuel"" applies to all or any of three fuels: anthracite (hard coal), bituminous coal (soft coal), and coke (a fuel manufactured by carbonization of coal)."
