Abstract

There are many types of workflow research problems and consequently there are many workflow research groups and software systems. We believe it is important that XSEDE be as developer-friendly for as many of these systems as possible in order to attract a wide range of tool developers and their communities. In this use Case we identify general characteristics of workflow systems; future use cases may consider the requirements of specific workflow tools or classes of tools.
