- Abstract
- People have been saturated by visual images whether intentional or not. In other words, visual images surround us everywhere. These images include iconic images, company logos, and street sign. Visual Images can dominate our minds and cause us to think about their meanings because an individual perceives an image differently from another individual. People communicate and learn through images. Furthermore, the interpretation of an image has been given by people through social and cultural practices. This is called visual semiotic. Oftentimes, visual images could make things more believable than real ones. Does an image have a value itself? Or does an image become valuable when it includes the valuable object or moment? My research explores images that contain recognizable objects that have material value. Using research, I draw an artwork using images that contain material value. Since I am using easily recognizable images to draw, you can still see the value in the imagery even if the physical material is not exist in the artwork.
