Abstract

My research aim is to develop nano sensors for enormous applications in industry and bio medicine such as pressure and refractive index sensing. The device fabricated for this purpose is called as nanomushroom sensor. This device makes tiny change of refractive index detectable by naked eye. The image shows a scanning electron microscope (SEM) image of the surface of nano-mushroom sensor and demonstrates how the device changes its color. Microscope immersion oil and of water were dropped next to and the image was taken at the interface of oil and air. It is observable by naked eye that the color is blue for air, green for water, red for immersion oil.
