Abstract
"Several climate studies (e.g., Jones et al., 1986a, 1986b; Hansen and Lebedeff, 1987,
1988; Jones, 1988; Vinnikov et al., 1990; IPCC, 1990) have determined that the earth's global climate is warming. Some scientists attribute this to an increasing trend in greenhouse gases, such as C02. Doubled-C02 climate models are in general agreement that in a greenhouse enhanced world, the Great Lakes region (interior North America) should experience wetter winters, drier summers, and an increase in temperature during both winter and summer (""Business-as-Usual"" scenario, IPCC, 1990)."
