Abstract
In this project thesis, we investigated the possibility of connecting the nitrate sensor newly developed with wireless communication technologies, which has several forms. The first thing we did in this research was to integrate the sensors with semiconductor and then we set up the environment for the information transmission to activate and test the sensors. The ultimate aim is to achieve the communication between cell phones integrated with this sensor. The purpose of this research is to add a gadget for the android phone. The approach to solve the problem involves several steps. The hardware design and development, the programming are in C code. We have U-ART, Arduino and Bluetooth shield in this project to set up and improve the communications. We have utilized the chips from Texas Instruments to implement a bidirectional transmission UART to make it possible. We also use Arduino together with Bluetooth to achieve the command sending and receiving of the Android Phone. All of the above completes an entity of the whole project. We have tested it several times and the results seemed to be not very stable by the observations from the oscilloscope. We have investigated this issue by checking the code. We have also analyzed the wireless communication part, the outcome is better now. In the future, we will use bacteria sensor which we are researching to try this.
