Newman, currently the Executive Director of the Springfield Housing Authority, is working on a doctorate in Public Administration at UIS. She graduated from Sangamon State University in 1991 with an undergraduate degree and received a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield in 1995.
